I started doing yoga in my grandmother’s living room sometime in the 1970’s.  (I was extremely young, btw.) A professional transition in late 2011 gave me the opportunity to pursue some of those things I always wanted to do, but didn’t, and yoga teacher training was one of those things.  I spent a month at Kripalu School of Yoga in February/March 2012, and completed my 200-hour YTT.  After that, I spent a week training in Yoga of Awareness for cancer at Duke Integrative Medicine.  I’m passionate about the idea that anyone who can breathe can do yoga.

Why I CrossFit

I CrossFit for the same reason that everyone who CrossFits should do yoga!  Balance in life is the most important thing.  Being bendy and centered is wonderful, but being strong is awesome.  I tried CrossFit because it pushed me out of my comfort zone, and now it’s the only place I want to be.

Favorite Exercise

Bench Press.  And Burpees.  Yes, I said that.  I feel like I’m flying.
