Foundations

WHETHER YOU’RE CURRENTLY EXERCISING OR TRYING TO BECOME MORE ACTIVE, FOUNDATIONS IS THE PLACE TO START.

Our Foundations course is designed to teach you proper form and technique for our main movements, while slowly increasing the intensity to prepare you for regular class workouts. Our goal is to help you perform each movement safely, properly and to the best of your ability. The course is broken into 4 hour-long group sessions held twice a week for two weeks. Each session will focus on 1 of 4 of our main movements, along with important accessory exercises.  Expect to learn:

  • Squat Variations (Front Squat, Back Squat, Overhead Squat, Box Squat, etc.)
  • Pulls (Pull-Ups, Rowing, Deadlifts, Sumo Deadlifts, etc.)
  • Press Variations (Press, Push Press, Push Jerk, etc.)
  • Olympic Lifting (Snatch, Clean, Split Jerk)
  • Accessory Movements (Wall Ball, Kettlebell Swings,  Basic Gymnastics Moves, etc.)

Foundations members may not attend regular classes until finishing the first two Foundations sessions. If you do plan to attend a regular class and have not yet finished your Foundations introduction course, tell the coach so he/she can scale your workouts accordingly.
